Getting started
How do I get started?
Answer a two-minute health check, then pick a time for a private video consult with an Australian-registered practitioner.
Do I need a referral?
Nope. Book directly online.
Who is Bio Chain Clinic for?
Adults anywhere in Australia who want practitioner-led care for weight, performance and recovery, men's and women's health, longevity or skin.
What do I need for my consult?
A phone, tablet or computer with a camera, a quiet private spot, and a list of any medications and supplements you take.
Safety and legality
Is it safe?
Every plan starts with a registered practitioner going through your history and medications. If it's not right for you, it doesn't happen.
Is it legal?
Yes, and that's the whole point. Buying online and hoping for the best is a gamble. Here, everything runs through Australian-registered practitioners, and prescription medicines are only supplied on a valid prescription where clinically appropriate.
Who are your practitioners?
Australian-registered practitioners. We'll introduce the whole team properly on our About page, and you'll know who's looking after you before your consult.
What if telehealth isn't right for me?
Your practitioner will tell you and point you to the right care, whether that's your GP, a specialist or an in-person assessment. In an emergency, call 000.
Costs
What does it cost?
You'll see your consultation fee before you pay. Any treatment costs are explained before you commit. No surprises.
Will blood tests cost extra?
If your practitioner recommends tests, they'll explain any costs before you go ahead.
Do I have to commit to a plan?
No. Your practitioner explains your plan and any costs first, and you decide whether to go ahead.
Treatment and prescriptions
Will I definitely get a prescription?
No. A prescription is one possible outcome, issued only where your practitioner decides it's clinically appropriate. Your plan might be advice, monitoring, a referral or no treatment.
Where are prescriptions filled?
If a prescription is clinically appropriate, it's filled by an Australian pharmacy. Your practitioner will talk you through the details.
When will I see results?
Honestly? It depends on you, your goals and your plan, so nobody can promise a timeframe. Your practitioner will set realistic expectations from day one.
Will my plan change over time?
It can. Regular check-ins let your practitioner review how you're going and adjust your plan where needed.
Privacy and data
Who can see my health information?
Only the people involved in your care. Your information is handled under Australian privacy law, as set out in our privacy policy.
Will you share my information with anyone else?
Not without your consent, except where the law requires it. Our privacy policy explains exactly how your information is used.
